Every now and again we here at Midwest Mom’s Media will introduce post that are not related to social media or technology, but just a topic that we mom’s care about.  We encourage you to contact us and let us know topics that you would like us to cover.  Today, we would like to reflect.

One week after Memorial Day is a good day to reflect on all we should be thankful for as we enter the month of June.  We all have either been directly affected or know someone that has either been affected by the loss of a love one due to their time in the service.  We would like to take this time to thank all of our military men and women for their service and providing us the opportunity to enjoy the freedom you gave your lives for.

As we honor our fallen troops we must pay closer attention to the military men and women that come back to the United States looking to live normal lives and be productive citizens.  Often times employment is hard to come by and skills necessary for these jobs require additional education.  I want to mention a website that has helped several of my fellow military veterans and readers son’s and daughter’s as well.   Hire USA Heroes is this website, which can be found at www.hireusaheroes.com.

Every now and again we will promote websites or businesses that help to contribute to a better life and that our readers (mom’s) recommend.  Though there are other websites available like wehireheroes.com and hireheroesusa.org, we have found that the speed at which the service works at Hire USA Heroes is second to none.  We really appreciate them going the extra mile to help our veterans find the jobs that can help them be productive citizens.  So though we are promoting this one website we also recommend the others as well since they all help our veterans find employment.

No matter what business you are in there is always a way we can give back to the people (military veterans) that have given so much to us.  As a mother I understand how hard it can be to send your loved one off to a war and not know whether they will come back or that will be the last time you see them.  The sacrifice our military people make on a daily basis is extreme, and we must make sure when they return to help in any way we can to make their lives just a little easier.

After being away for so long adjusting back to normal life can be hard, and the more we can do to ease this process the better it is for everyone.  I along with several of our staff here volunteer for programs and events that help our veterans and we would encourage you to do the same.  Remember with out them we would not have the freedom we so cherish.

So again we would like to thank all of our service people for all they have given and continue to give in pursuit of protecting our country and making sure our freedoms are upheld.  On this day, one week after Memorial Day we here at Midwest Mom’s Media would like to say ‘We Will Not Forget’.
